Just head that England international Jack Wilshere is a free agent. Anyone think he's worth a punt?

He’ll end up in the MLS if he’s lucky. That’s if he wants to continue playing.
Absolutely finished at the top level.

IT’S LIKE A NEW SIGNING!
Good riddance to the washing machine climbing wage thief sicknote.
Cue vastly improved fitness going forward, I am sure. But I’m just glad to see the back of the waste of space.

Jack Wilshere’s perception of his own fitness may not be particularly reliable.

Re: Jack Wilshere

I’m calling absolute bullshit on his statement. The mess we were in earlier this year with everyone playing shit there’s no way he wouldn’t have got a game unless he was injured or just a grade A cunt.
Moving him out is a big step forward.

He's had a right result here, and we've been done up the bum.
For a 15% saving, I would have kept him if he is as fit as he says he is.

How strange that he’s been fully fit for most of his time with us.

Re: Jack Wilshere

I don't know what the deal was with him for the past year but when I rarely saw him play he looked slow and a shadow of the player he once was. From what I can work out, he's had similar issues on his ankle to Ashton. He came back a shadow of the player before retiring and Jack is the same. He'll never stay fit as the ankle will roll over too easily, he will get inflammation and bone spurs and need constant attention. He may well not be able to accept that and is still trying to believe he can be a premier league player.
I can't fault him for wanting to play but at some point he is going to have to accept defeat. I think he is the sort of character though who will find it massively difficult to leave the game and will end up with issues.

Still insisting he is 100% fit
I can see him ending up at Fulham...it's a nice view from the Stevenage Road stand of that picturesque bend in the Thames at the moment

Re: Jack Wilshere

Cost us the best part of £15m or £25k per minute on the pitch.
But he used to support us as a boy so it’s all right.
Hit the road Jack, and don’t come back no more.
